Mango Magic – Why Is It Called The King Of Fruits? | Bookosmia
There was a time where there was an abundance of fruits.
However, such abundance posed problems. As the number of fruits was too much, many fruits were thrown away.
Amy, the apple wanted to put an end to this. She called her friends, Gary the guava and Grim the grape. They thought of a scheme to get more people to buy them instead of being thrown away. (In that land, fruits could talk.)
Next time shoppers came to the bazaar, they cried, “You do not need to peel us, just eat us straight!”
More people started buying apples, guavas, and grapes. This posed problems. The other fruits were not being bought and were thrown away. They felt unhappy. They were not willing to go away to the market. This caused widespread shortage of oranges and mangoes.
Marty, the mango wanted to solve this. He called his friend, Oscar the orange to help him sort this out. Marty then explained that they must set up another scheme. They needed to persuade the people to buy the fruits with peels that must be removed.
“Like a gift is covered by wrapping paper, a delicious fruit is covered by a peel.”
Now the people started buying other fruits.
The fruits liked his thinking and decided to make Marty the mango, the king.
Therefore, mangoes are called the king of fruits, them being Marty’s ancestors.
But one day, some evil fruits who did not like Marty, protested in front of the fruits stall. “Oh dear! Another problem to solve!” Marty sighed.
