Math – Loves Me, Loves Me Not | Bookosmia
I always thought math was a bore,
Arithmetic tiring to the core.
From tests I fled out of fright,
‘Cause I never got anything right,
Oh, math was such a bore!
Why couldn’t it solve its own problems?
The problems as dry as the gardens of autumn,
Even when I tried to concentrate
Math would always intimidate.
Why was math so bad?
The sum always looked like a cruel joke,
And my confidence gradually broke.
Oh why was math making me so bored?
In my brain nothing would get stored.
Why was this the case?
But then I saw a very big change,
The numbers no longer looked strange!
I actually understood what I was doing,
And my answers were also improving!
Thank god! I cried with joy.
Then I discovered math is really awesome,
And in my mind mathematical seeds started to blossom.
No longer did I see math as torture,
And to the world of math I slowly took departure.
Math is no longer a bore,
Arithmetic no longer tires to the core!
