Hey everyone. Your best friend Sara here. It has been a wonderful run with the lockdown poems by my little friends. As we wrap up our #GratitudeDuringCovid series, here is a wonderful poem from 14 year old Satwik on what our takeaways can be.

#SaraReads #GratitudeDuringCovid: Poem-The year of Corona

Could be a lot of things
But will be remembered
As the year of corona.

A virus originating from China
And taking thousands from earth
People shut in their homes
Complaining of being bored.

As life becomes harder and more threatening
A challenge is thrown upon us
It is not easy but let us be happy with what we have.

Many countries have suffered,
Italy being one,
Yet ‘hope’ they did not give up.
They sang,
Entertained from their balconies,
They refused to give up.

For us, the challenge is
To stay committed
Stay connected
Stay strong

This is not an illness that identifies
Between the and poor
It doesn’t care about who you are.
To beat it,
‘Netflix and chill’ isn’t the only way.
You must help
Yourself and others.
