Walking with my grandma, by the riverside- Poem #WorldRiversDay

Walking with my grandma on the riverside
I sat on the bench by grandma’s side.
Seeing the leaf with a broken stalk
I wondered if rivers could talk.
Closing my eyes, I could see a scenery
All around was peace and lots of greenery.
Clean water, chirping birds, clean surroundings, colorful boats all around,
This was where together nature and peace abound.
Wondering if rivers could talk and warn humans, so that they would be as I dreamt,
I asked grandma, of rivers could talk and was amazed by what she said and meant.
“Nature does talk to us but we ignore it,” she said,
“That’s why nature got wounded and bled.”
